Reselfing:
mindfulness, wonder & love
A gathering on practicing mindfulness and transforming our relationship with ourselves, others, and the natural world
Mindfulness is like reading and writing. Once you learn how to read and write, a whole world opens up. Imagine if you couldn’t read or write! Similarly, mindfulness is a “spiritual tool,” a way of noticing life. It allows you to “read” and “write” your emotions, thoughts, feelings, intuitions, and much more. It’s a way of noticing your mind-body connection and everything in between. It’s also a way of seeing life within you and around you. Mindful living is like being a cat behind a window, watching things come and go without losing yourself to chase them. It is simply being able to witness your experiences as they come and go before you analyze or automatically react to them. It’s also a way of noticing life speaking back to you with its “signs.” Sometimes, people learn about mindfulness when they are tired or in pain from their thought patterns, feeling “stuck” in their lives. Mindfulness is a way of befriending your many selves, a way of knowing yourself that is rooted in love, a way of living as the unique person you are and experiencing the oneness of all beings. “To be born is to be chosen,” and there is more to reality than our limited perception of it. Similarly, there is more to you than your history, biography, or even identities. This workshop is a space for you to cultivate that which you already know but may need more practice: Love
